QMS-048-09.75-SL-D-DP-A is part of the edge type mezzanine (Board to Board) series of rectangular connectors. They provide a space and weight saving connection system in an economical and easy-to-use package.

These connectors are a four-channel system on a single board edge. Each channel consists of two complimentary shielding clips which provide EMI shielding. All four channels are connected to a ground plane on the other edge of the board which provides a unified ground plane. This helps reduce EMI leakage and provides enhanced shielding.

These edge type mezzanine connectors are designed for high-frequency applications such as data transfer up to 480 Mbps, SATA and SAS data transfer as well as ATM/Ethernet. The connectors are highly reliable and meet the requirements of Mil-Std-810.

The design of the connectors features four positions, with two 9.75mm pitch slots available. The contacts are available in high-speed quadrax and dualax styles which offer superior transmission performance. The high current carrying design can handle up to 16A per contact.

The connectors are designed for multiple mating cycles of 500 cycles minimum. The high temperature plastic housing offers superior durability applied by overmoulding and also aids in board alignment. The contact surface is plated with gold as standard and an optional tin plating can be used. The shielding is also available in tin or silver depending on the application.
