Working Principle

The QSH-090-01-L-D-RA-K-TR connectors consist of three parts: the PCB contacts, the direct housing, and the connectors. The PCB contacts, commonly referred to as “tabs”, are stamped out of a conductive material such as copper, brass, or aluminum. The contacts are “washed” with a gold plating for maximum contact reliability. On the back end of each contact, there is an integral connection tab that aligns and mates with the contact on the mating connector. Depending on the particular model, the contacts feature passive or shrouded areas.

The direct housing snaps around the contact tab area, providing the mechanical and environmental protection for the tab spring connection and also providing an EMI and RFI shielding around the contact area. Various standoff heights are available for securely mounting the board/housing assembly to the mating connector.

The QSH-090-01-L-D-RA-K-TR connectors feature a modular design of dual box contacts and single contacts, allowing the user to create a custom solution. These connectors are primarily used in coplanar board-to-board applications. The connectors feature gold-plated contacts, offering high contact reliability and providing superior electrical performance. The guides chosen for each model optimize guide tolerances, preventing the board from being forced incorrectly into the connector chassis, and the contact float range has been designed to allow adequate contact float range.

QSH-090-01-L-D-RA-K-TR connectors can operate under a wide range of temperatures, from -65°C to +125°C.
