The R1Z-1509 is a DC-DC converter designed to convert a voltage of 5V input to 15V output. The R1Z-1509 is designed for communications, industrial, telecommunications, automotive and military applications.The R1Z-1509 utilizes an advanced digital control loop and voltage modulation technology for excellent output voltage regulation and transient response. It has an input voltage range of +/- 10% and output voltage accuracy of +/- 5%, making it one of the most stable DC-DC converters on the market. The R1Z-1509 is also protected against over current, short circuit, and over voltage conditions.The R1Z-1509 is composed of two main parts – the power stage and the control stage. The power stage is responsible for delivering the desired voltage at the output, while the control stage is responsible for regulating the output voltage.At the input, the R1Z-1509 uses an AC line voltage of 100 - 240VAC. The voltage is rectified, then converted into a DC voltage, which passes through a switching regulator. The switching regulator then compensates for fluctuations in the input voltage and helps to maintain a constant output voltage.In the power stage, the DC voltage is fed into a full-bridge circuit formed by four power MOSFETs. The four MOSFETs control the DC voltage through an oscillator which drives two of the MOSFETS at higher frequencies. This oscillation helps to reduce the variations in voltage by 25%.
