The RACD150-1050A full-bridge LED driver integrates all the active components needed for a full-bridge diode rectifier stage and the operation is based on an analog IC current-mode boost PFC controller. The device was specially designed for cost effective and low power consumption solutions.

RACD150-1050A’s application field includes industrial, domestic, professional and medical luminaires and light fixtures. It can control up to 170W constant power LED luminaires, with constant currents up to 1050 mA/Ch. The working principle of the device is based on a classic PFC + boost + LLC converter topology. It includes three different stages: the input AC rectification, filter and boost; the current-mode boost power factor correction; and an LLC resonant output stage, providing constant LED current at the output.

The input bridge rectifier and the capacitor filter convert the mains AC input to a DC input voltage. The power- factor-correction switch-mode converter takes the input DC and boosts it to an adjustable, sinusoidal output voltage level in the range of 185 to 400Vrms. The LLC converter functions as an isolated "resonant" output reference voltage source, providing an adjustable output current regulation with a high precision.

RACD150-1050A has multiple protection features, such as over temperature, over voltage, over current and open LED protections, but it can also be integrated with a host microcontroller to realize advanced functions like dimming. Its high efficiency and low standby power consumptions makes it ideal for smart lighting systems, feature low overall bill of products and high energy savings.
