The RBK-ZWAVECALIBOX-3 is a versatile RF Evaluation and Development Kit, Board, designed to provide powerful solutions for a variety of applications and research fields. The board and its associated software can be used to experiment with, test, and develop RF architectures for applications such as wireless communications, indoor positioning, and more.

The RBK-ZWAVECALIBOX-3 evaluation kit is based on the NXP Qorvo RF Combiner & Filter and enables flexible use of the board for several high performance applications. It features a 50 ohm interface as well as on-board adjustable gain and bandwidth control with two independently managed channels. The NXP Qorvo RF Combiner provides an accurate and excellent signal-band ratio, making it possible to obtain excellent signal fidelity. Multiple RF technology options exist to suit unique application needs.

For wireless communications, the RBK-ZWAVECALIBOX-3 provides a complete radio architecture, ranging from signal generation to signal reception. It uses the Qorvo RF Combiner and Filter to map the desired signal into a high-frequency signal for transmission over the air. The transmitted signal is received by the NXP Qorvo RF Combiner & Filter module, which translates it back into a signal that can be used to enable a variety of applications.

The multiprotocol capabilities of the EBK-ZWAVECALIBOX-3 enable several wireless communication protocols, such as Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, ZigBee, and more to be tested and evaluated. This allows users to experiment with different network architectures to achieve desired throughput while optimizing the physical layer.
