RDK-201 application field and working principle

The RDK-201 is a universal AC/DC evaluation module and reference design board from TDK-Lambda. It is suitable for cutting-edge off-line applications ranging from consumer electronics and industrial equipment for a wide range of operating conditions.

The module is based on a full-bridge boost topology and can be used as either a buck-boost or a flyback converter. The board uses a highly-efficient, high-frequency synchronous rectification stage, which reduces on-board losses and allows for a wide input voltage range up to 265VAC.
