The RDK-203 evaluation board is a powerful demonstration and development platform for off-line AC-DC and DC-DC switching power supply. It is a compact and cost effective solution for a wide range of engineering tasks. The board\'s versatile design and rich feature set make it an ideal tool for engineers and designers alike.
The RDK-203 board features a low-power buck-boost topology DC-DC converter employing a state-of-the-art controller IC and support components. The high power AC-DC converter on the RDK-203 provides up to 500W of output power and includes a unique three-stage power factor correction circuit. This feature allows the user to maximize input power efficiency and performance over a wide input voltage range. Both converters can be used in synchronization mode to provide a combined output power of up to 750W.
The RDK-203 offers two main operating modes. In manual mode, the user can fine tune and adjust the parameters of each converter separately. In automatic mode, the power supplies will automatically adjust their settings according to their input voltage and load current. This automated setup makes quick and easy configuration of the converters.
At the heart of the RDK-203 is a state-of-the-art digital signal processor (DSP). This powerful system enables the RDK-203 to give the user complete control over the power supply settings. Through its easy-to-use graphical user interface (GUI), the user can adjust the operating parameters of the RDK-203, such as output voltage, current limit, power limit, and ripple voltage. The controller also provides features such as fusing control, temperature compensation, and cycle-by-cycle current limit.
The RDK-203 evaluation board also includes two independent analog inputs for monitoring the input line voltage and output load current. These inputs can be used to measure the stability of the power supply and to detect fault conditions such as overvoltage and overcurrent protection. The analog inputs can also be used to monitor the performance of the RDK-203 over time.
The RDK-203 evaluation board is an extremely flexible and robust platform for developing and testing a variety of power supply applications. With its easy-to-use GUI and comprehensive feature set, the board enables engineers to quickly develop and safely test designs in the shortest possible time.
