The RDK-248 Evaluation Board is an off-line AC/DC/DC Switching Power Supply board designed for evaluating different circuit topologies and configurations for AC/DC/DC switching power supply applications. It is a development kit providing efficient and complete support for evaluating the performance, features and specifications of DC/ DC/AC power supply solutions. The RDK-248 board is designed to provide a platform for functional testing, verification, and debug of a range of DC/DC applications including sychronous, half bridge, push-pull, buck, boost, buck-boost and inverter topologies.

The RDK-248 evaluation board is equipped with three separate DC/DC circuits for testing different configurations such as a full bridge rectifier, an isolated DC/DC converter, and an input galvanic isolated DC/DC converter. The RDK-248 also has a wide range of features such as a 200V input voltage range, onboard and optional power stage components such as diode, MOSFET and heat sink. It also provides isolated test points and monitoring for input, output, ground, and inter-stage signals which helps in the development of the DC/DC applications, such as fly back, half bridge, bridge and push-pull topologies.

The board also features a power supply circuit for supplying power to the circuit boards. The power supply circuit comes with "power factor corrected" switching topology which provides high efficiency, low harmonic distortion, and high power factor operation. The power supply circuit also features active current limitation and an overload protection circuit providing reliable protection from overload currents.

The RDK-248 evaluation board is ideal for evaluating off-line AC/DC/DC switching power supply applications. It provides the user with a versatile platform to experiment with different circuit topologies and configurations, and helping in the development, debug, and verification of different DC/DC power supply solutions. The many features onboard the RDK-248 help make it an ideal platform for DC/DC applications.
