The REC3-1205SRW/H2/A/M/SMD/CTRL DC DC converter is designed to provide power from direct current sources such as batteries to the applications requiring controlled regulated voltage. Due to its size, high efficiency, and ease of assembly it is most suitable for space constrained and rugged applications like electronic systems like medical equipment, industrial systems, electrical appliances, aerospace systems, automotive, etc.

The REC3-1205SRW/H2/A/M/SMD/CTRL device contains a monolithic integrated circuit with an internal bridge rectifier. It provides a stable regulated output voltage and delivers up to 10A of continuous output current, with up to 1A of ripple current. Its wide input voltage range of 4.5V~60V DC allows the unit to operate straight from the most common battery sources such as Lithium-ion, Nickel-Cadmium, Nickel-Metal Hydride, or Lead-Acid. Additionally, the REC3-1205SRW/H2/A/M/SMD/CTRL converter includes an internal Current-Mode controlled Buck/Boost Controller with integrated FETs to regulate the output voltage from 3.3V up to the input voltage, set either through its internal voltage sensing circuitry or an external sensing resistor.

The REC3-1205SRW/H2/A/M/SMD/CTRL DC DC converter is a highly efficient device and can achieve up to 92% efficiency. The internal current-mode controller ensures quick load transient response and fast line and load regulation. The device is also protected from over current, over voltage, and thermal shutdown.

The REC3-1205SRW/H2/A/M/SMD/CTRL converter uses a fixed frequency topology suitable for both continuous current and pulsed load applications. The frequency of operation can be set through an external resistor and its minimum switching frequency can be set up to 500kHz. The device includes an enable pin to turn off the power stage for system shutdown or power saving.
