The REF5020IDRG4 is an ultra-precision voltage reference for single-supply operation. It is a device in the Power Management IC (PMIC) - Voltage Reference family. This device contains the core functionality to provide the highest precision and accuracy, along with an industry leading output voltage noise performance. It operates from a single 2.7V to 5.5V supply and can be used in any application where a precision voltage reference is needed.
The REF5020IDRG4 is designed to provide an output voltage that can be fine-tuned between 1.245V and 5V. The adjustment voltage, VA, can be achieved through an external resistor network connected to the ADJ pin, which applies a voltage to the buffered input at the ADJ pin. This is a unique feature that allows the user to set the output voltage from a wide range of input voltages and load currents.
The device uses a band-gap reference architecture which reduces the output voltage variation with temperature to an industry leading 0.0015%/°C. The REF5020IDRG4 has a low output voltage noise of < 0.2 mVrms and a high PSRR specification. It offers wide operating temperature ratings of -40°C to +125°C, making it suitable for a variety of applications.
The REF5020IDRG4 is ideal for use in portable/battery-powered applications, including communications, sensor, and medical applications which require low supply current and very low noise power supply.
