The RN-3.309S/P is suitable for industrial grade applications in the transportation, automation and defense markets.The working principle of the RN-3.309S/P is based on a converter topology incorporating high efficiency insulation, a synchronous rectification schematic based on Controlled Apicell TM technology, and high frequency parasitic windage losses in the output transformer. This technology enables the converter to operate over a wide input voltage range with excellent line and load regulation, high efficiency and superior thermal performance.The RN-3.309S/P converter incorporates a proprietary Vicor Digital PWM Controller (VDPC). This technology allows the converter to automatically adjust power output to meet the specific demands of the system. Additionally, a configurable user interface allows a wide range of parameters and diagnostics to be monitored.The output of the RN-3.309S/P converter is determined by input and output impedances as well as ElectroMagnetic Interference (EMI) limits. The converter also uses a master oscillator to adjust the converter\'s PWM frequency in order to minimize switching frequency harmonic distortion.RN-3.309S/P provides advanced overvoltage, over-current and short circuit protection with a monitoring system. This monitoring system is based on real-time impedance regulation and can detect a fault, disconnect the converter, and alert the user to the fault.
