Application Field

Working Principle

The RU-050505 converter works by taking a given DC input voltage and converting it to an output voltage. This output voltage is then adjusted by a control circuit which modulates the duty cycle of a power switch. The power switch is in turn connected to a storage capacitor which supplies electrical energy to the load.

The amount of energy that is stored in the capacitor varies with the duty cycle of the switch. If the duty cycle is increased, then more energy is supplied to the load. This results in an increase in the output voltage. By adjusting the duty cycle of the power switch, the output voltage can be varied to any desired level.

In addition to providing an adjustable output voltage, the RU-050505 converter also provides protection for the output voltage. If an overload or short circuit occurs, the converter will shut off the power switch and thus, the output voltage will be protected.
