RV-1209D converters are a type of DC DC converters which use a combination of linear and switching (PWM) control techniques to rapidly step up or step down a voltage input. They are regularly used in a variety of fields where precision and reliability are paramount, such as electronics, automotive and telecommunication applications.The RV-1209D converter consists of an input stage, an output stage, power stage components, and a control or regulating circuit. The input stage is composed of an Opto Isolator and photo interrupter which senses the current and voltage of the incoming voltage. This information is then sent to the control circuit which reacts accordingly, adjusting the output stage components in real-time in order to accurately maintain the desired output voltage. The power stage components can accordingly adjust to step up, step down, or remain the same, depending on the desired output voltage.
