.RWD-MIFARE-R5 application field and working principle
RWD-MIFARE-R5 chip is designed with a high-speed 32-bit microprocessor, a secure authentication and key management system, a one way 512 bit secure crypto module, a 64bit non-volatile memory for authentication and key management, and a 32 bit non-volatile memory for user application code and data.
It is designed for secure access control, contactless and wireless ID cards, AIDC (automatic identification and data capture), vehicle tags, data tags, asset tracking tags, transaction processing and other secure transactions. The following illustrates the technical features of RWD-MIFARE-R5 chip:
- High-speed 32-bit microprocessor with a 16Mb flash memory, 5KB RAM and 32Kb of ROM.
- User application code and data in 32 Kb of non-volatile memory.
- Secure authentication and key-management system.
- Secure one way 512 bit crypto module.
- 64 Kb of non-volatile memory for Authentication/Key Management.
- Integrated second-generation radio-frequency-identification (RFID) reader technology.
The RWD-MIFARE-R5 chip is used in many applications in different industries including access control, secure authentication, secure transactions, vehicle identification and asset tracking. Moreover, the chip supports a wide range of technologies such as Ultra Wideband (UWB) and near-field communication (NFC).
The working principle of the RWD-MIFARE-R5 chip is based on its integrated reader technologies which include a transponder with a unique address and a secured data zone. The transponder is connected to a reader device which contains the reader antenna, a radio frequency amplifier, and decoder circuits. Upon receiving a specific signal from a reader, it will send back a unique signal which is used for identification. The signal contains information which is used for authentication and key management. This is followed by a communication exchange between the chip and the reader. The secure data stored in the chip can only be read and used by authorized users.
The RWD-MIFARE-R5 chip also supports RFID technology, which is used to enable the monitoring and management of assets. This makes it possible for organizations to track the location, movement as well as monitor the status of an asset. In the access control application, the chip can be used to secure a building or an area, such as an office or a parking lot. The chip also provides secure authentication for access to data, as well as secure transactions.
In conclusion, the RWD-MIFARE-R5 chip is a very versatile and secure chip which provides secure access control, asset tracking, contactless and wireless identification as well as secure transactions. It has wide application in many industries and its integrated technologies make it an ideal solution for many applications.
