Working Principle

The S-8253BAC-T8T1GZ operates by detecting the voltage of the battery using a reference voltage, and providing overcharge and over discharge protection by controlling the input/output current. When the battery\'s voltage reaches the overcharge or over discharge threshold, the IC shuts off the control FETs to stop charging or discharging the battery until the voltage has dropped back below the threshold.
