Fixed Inductors

Inductor is an important passive component with wide application range in electrical engineering including filtering, impedance transformation, storage of energy and a part of oscillatory circuit. S0603-33NF3E is a SMD or SMT inductor with low DC resistance and high saturation current. Its properties make it well suited for applications in DC-DC converters. Its main features are inductance of 33nF (33 nanohenry or 33,000 picohenry) maximum, rated current is 500mA and inductance tolerance 20%. The inductor comes in standard dimension 0603 hence can be mounted on small surface area and thereby can be used multiple applications in a single board. It has an inductor with protection varnish insulation which gives it more durability and can withstand high temperature and extreme conditions of environmental application.

The working principle behind S0603-33NF3E fixed inductor is simple and similar to all other inductors. The inductor consists of a wire wound around an iron core. When a current flow through this coil, it sets up a magnetic field. This magnetic field is then inducted into the core and will store energy. When the coil is disconnected from the current, the stored energy will be emitted off again in the form of current. This is the key basic principle behind transformers as well.

But it will not be suitable for high frequency applications.
