Common Mode Chokes provide a desirable electromagnetic interference (EMI) suppression capability for power lines and signal lines. They are often used in power supplies, inverter drives, motor control systems and frequency converters. Common mode chokes generally utilize an inductive element, such as a toroid or a ferrite core, to form the EMI filter element. In this article, we will discuss the application field and working principle of one particular common mode choke, the SC-02-100.

The SC-02-100 is a common mode choke designed to reduce EMI from DC and AC power lines.
