Common Mode Chokes
Common mode chokes, or CM chokes, are components designed to filter and reduce common mode noise from electronic circuits. The CM choke is a passive component that is used to reduce interference in electrical and electronic systems. It is composed of two or more inductors, typically coils of magnetic material wound on a ferrite resin core, which are connected together in parallel and symmetrically wound around the core. The CM choke operates by reducing the electromagnetic radiation in the common mode and by providing very attenuation in the passband. The SC-03-D050 common mode choke is a 3-phase choke for use in medium- to high-power applications. It has a rated current of up to 50A and a rated voltage of up to 4.5kV. It is designed for use with three-phase AC motors and other equipment requiring common mode filtering. The SC-03-D050 choke is designed with a 3-pole symmetric winding and features two ferrite cores in a minimal size package. The ferrite cores have a permeability of 1800 which facilitates the movement of high current through the choke with low losses. The SC-03-D050 choke provides both differential and common mode noise filtering and can reduce common mode noise levels down to 0.3 percent of their initial value for EM interference. The SC-03-D050 common mode choke works by creating a magnetic field around the ferrite core which redirects the AC-generated magnetic fields. The two cores are joined in both a common mode and differential mode, providing the high level of insertional attenuation required for sensitive power circuits. The cores then suppress the unwanted signals in the common mode by their inductive filter effect. The differential-mode attenuation helps the 3 phase choke mitigate the effect of any differential mode noise. The high permeability of the SC-03-D050 values makes it suitable for a range of applications where large currents are present. It can be used in power supplies, UPS systems, inverters, motor drives, welding machines, and other industrial equipment. Some of the other features of the choke include its low dimensions, high efficiency, and long-term reliability. In summary, the SC-03-D050 common mode choke provides outstanding noise and surge suppression with its 3-pole symmetric winding design and two ferrite cores. Its high current handling capability, excellent noise rejection, and efficient filter-effect make it a versatile component for heavy-duty applications. The specific data is subject to PDF, and the above content is for reference
