The SCM101000L terminal block connectors consist of a production-proven insulation displacement connector (IDC) contact system that can be used with a variety of conductor sizes, from 0.14mm² to 4.0mm².

Working Principle

The SCM101000L terminal blocks are insulated with higher quality PVC or Polyamide insulation with a good resistance to temperature and oxidation. The terminal contacts are designed with an insulation-displacement cutting edge which ensures a reliable, positive and vibration-proof connection. It transfers the electrical power between connected conductors with maximum contact pressure and minimum contact resistance.

The staggered contact design ensures connection between conductors in the same parallel plane, avoiding contact displacement. This design also ensures safe, reliable connections and effective EMC/EMI screening thereof the connected lines.

The contacts and Earth tag lugs are made of brass material to ensure maximum electrical continuity. The gasket seal between the inner and outer housings ensure IP65 degree rating.
