Fixed Inductors: Overview

Fixed inductors are components that can store electrical energy and act as electromagnetic regulators in an AC circuit. They are usually round in shape with a single primary winding, plus a secondary or tertiary winding if needed. This winding is typically insulated from the environment or core, and also from other windings. Depending on the type of induction needed, fixed inductors can be used for various purposes such as signal coupling, power rectification, and chokes.

SCRH127/LD-561 Application Field and Working Principle

The SCRH127/LD-561 are two particular types of fixed inductors which are primarily used for signal coupling in either commercial or consumer electronics, such as audio-visual products and GPS navigational systems. These inductors have an operating frequency of 1MHz to 10MHz, a Minimum Inductance of 78µH and Maximum 2.12MHz, plus a peal current of 62mA. The SCRH127/LD-561 can also be used for power rectification, with the rectification voltage typically ranging up to 40V.

In terms of their working principle, fixed inductors generate a magnetic field when a current runs through its primary winding. This magnetic field then induces an electromotive force (EMF) in the secondary winding, therefore regulating the current in the circuit. Furthermore, the SCRH127/LD-561 fixed inductors can also be used as chokes, meaning they can prevent sudden changes in current from reaching the other components in the circuit.
