Rectangular Connectors - Headers, Receptacles, Female Sockets
The SDL-101-TT-12 design is similar to other single row, discrete wire connectors, however the connection process is smaller, simpler and easier to completion. The male terminal consists of a friction-fit wire spring that makes contact with the female connection. The female connection is manufactured as a single piece, with no additional components to the assembly. To ensure a secure connection, the wire spring is also designed with a special spring-steel memory that secures the connection during insertion and ensures reliable connection over time.
In order to maximize performance, the design features a slotted contact tip and predefined contact force that is optimized for the application. This alleviates excessive force requirements when making the connection. In addition, its low power consumption ensures efficient power dissipation, minimizing copper track length and preventing excessive heat build-up on the components.
