Optoisolators, also known as optocouplers, opto-isolators, photocouplers, or optical isolators, are components that use a light emitting diode (LED) to optically isolate two circuits. SFH1690AT is a popular optoisolator of the transistor, photovoltaic output type.

SFH1690AT Working Principle

This current is then used to generate a voltage across the optoisolator circuit.
