It is designed for high-density mounting applications.The SFM-120-02-S-D-N-LC header features an easy and reliable connection to a board and houses from two to sixty pins. It is built using hard dielectric resin, which offers superior insulation in comparison to other traditional material alternatives.The SFM-120-02-S-D-N-LC electrical connector assembly is a complex device which includes a dielectric housing, two contact elements, a printed circuit board (PCB), and an electrical connector. It consists of a circular hole in dielectric housing for the contact area and two contacts arranged in upright position within the PCB. The connection of the contact elements is made by a PCB created by etching circuit traces on its surface. The contact elements are positioned in the hole of the dielectric housing and two insulated wires are inserted in.The working principle of the SFM-120-02-S-D-N-LC electrical connector assembly is simple. When the connector is plugged into the board, the contact elements are forced into the hole of the dielectric housing and the two contacts make an electrical connection.
