The SFMH-130-02-L-D-TR Rectangular Connector is a combination of a header and receptacle configuration system which have been developed as a response to the growing need for high-density, inexpensive and reliable performance for harsh environment and high quality applications.

The SFMH-130-02-L-D-TR consists of a modified standard phoenix contact relay interface, and two 110 position high density plastic parts. The header and receptacle system are designed for rapid assembly and disassembly, as well as complete field integration with the phoenix contact relay interface.

The basic system consists of two separate components, an inlet with 12 positions and a receptacle with 110 positions. The inlet and receptacle can be mated, giving a total of 128 signals which are designed to interface with all of the common interfaces which are available on the market. The header or receptacle can be readily integrated into a variety of systems.

The SFMH-130-02-L-D-TR features three domains of interconnection: connectors, signal conductors, and conductive conduits. All three work together to provide a superior system solution. The header and receptacle are connected by means of a connector hood which slides onto the outer edge of the header. The connector hood consists of two removable anti-vibration clips which secure the connector to the header and the receptacle.

Internal signal conductors are designed to provide a superior electrical connection between the header and receptacle in the interface. The signal conductors are placed between the connector hood and the header, providing the electrical isolation necessary to maintain optimal contact pressure and electrical connection between the header and receptacle. The internal signal conductor is also reliable and repeatable when subjected to external vibration.

The conductive conduit is designed to transfer electrical signals from the board to the connector hood. The conductor is made of flexible cabling and is designed to ensure that the connector remains disengaged from the board during the entire connection process. The conductor provides a secure and reliable signal transfer from the board to the header.
