- Working Principle
SG-8002JF 16.0000M-PCML0 PURE SN oscillators are designed with an advanced voltage-controlled oscillator (VCO). The VCO consists of a PLL (phase-locked loop) containing a voltage-controlled oscillator (VCO) followed by a divider and a phase detector to afford the control loop. The VCO is driven by a DC electric, which is amplified to the elementary frequency of the oscillator. This divider feeds the current frequency to the phase detector. The phase detector compares the current frequency and the given frequency and a control voltage is generated. This control voltage is then fed back to the VCO and adjusts accordingly.
In order to increase the stability and accuracy of this oscillator, its circuit includes an adjustable capacitor divider, a band-pass filter and a temperature-compensated inductor. The capacitor divider is used to adjust the frequency and the band-pass filter is used to keep out false frequencies from interfering with the oscillator’s operation. Lastly, the inductor is used to keep the frequency stable against temperature fluctuations.
