It is a robust, highly integrated module allowing for easy frequency programming. The device is ideal for use in a wide range of applications including the timing and synchronization for communication, medical, automotive and consumer electronics.The SG-9101CG-C05PGCAC module provides oscillations between 0.8MHz to 200MHz with a programmable frequency range and accuracy. The precision of the oscillation is ± 0.25% while the temperature stability of the module is ±50ppm/°C. This device also features an active high enable/disable pin that can be used when a low power mode is needed. A programmable pull-up resistor is also provided to improve the frequency accuracy and phase noise.In terms of its working principle, the SG-9101CG-C05PGCAC module is based on a pulse width modulation technique. An internal oscillator generates a triangle waveform with a fixed frequency and this waveform is further used for generating the output signal. The output signal is created by modulating the duty cycle of the triangle waveform such that the desired frequency of the output signal is generated.The SG-9101CG-C05PGCAC module also provides a clock output that can be directly monitored and adjusted with the external monitoring system. The device provides an external pin, which can be used as a supply voltage reference to adjust the output frequency by connecting an external capacitor.
