Introduction

The SG328 is designed to remain in open position until the current exceeds the maximum ICL value. Once this maximum value is exceeded, the SG328 will begin to reduce its current limiting value. This dynamic current limiting value is limited by the voltage across the gateway source. As the voltage increases, the ICL value moves towards the maximum value before it begins to drop again. The SG328 is designed to limit current surges to a safe value without negatively impacting the operation of the system. This is achieved through the limitation of the current for a defined period of time. Once the surge has passed, the ICL will reset itself and allow the system to carry on as normal.
