Programmable oscillators are devices used to generate highly accurate and adjustable waveforms with low noise and jitter over a wide frequency range. The SGR-8002JA-PHC is a programmable oscillator based on Phase-Locked Loop (PLL) technology, which is designed for mobile communication, broadband access, commercial and consumer applications. It is designed for low power, low noise and wide frequency range operation. The device provides excellent accuracy and stability that can be programmed using tuned crystal oscillators or Programmable Oscillators (PXO).

The SGR-8002JA-PHC utilizes a low-noise 5x5 millimeter 14-pin surface mount package and has an adjustable minimum frequency range of 0 to 120 MHz, with a maximum frequencies of 600 MHz and 1200 MHz for a single crystal. The device provides a typical frequency accuracy of 0.03% (400 MHz) and 0.22% (1200 MHz). The SGR-8002JA-PHC also includes an internal loop filter and an internal amplifier with adjustable gain and offset, which enable it to provide a wide range of filter characteristics with excellent noise suppression. Additionally, the device has an integrated 0.1 V power pin, adjustable power down control, and two output drivers with adjustable current.

The SGR-8002JA-PHC programmable oscillator consists of two main sections: the Fractional-N frequency synthesizer and the filter/amplifier. The Fractional-N frequency synthesizer is capable of generating an adjustable frequency from 0 to 120 MHz, with the maximum frequency depending on the reference frequency and loop filter setting. The Fractional-N frequency synthesizer consists of a voltage-controlled oscillator (VCO), a programmable charge-pump, a phase detector and a programmable divider. The Fractional-N time-share (FNT) synthesizer converts a reference frequency into multiple decaying harmonic waveforms that are combined in the Fractional-N frequency synthesizer. The Fractional-N frequency synthesizer includes the phase detector, charge-pump, programmable divider and VCO. The filter/amplifier section includes an adjustable internal programmable filter and amplifier with low output noise. The output driver provides two levels of current with adjustable current sources.

The SGR-8002JA-PHC is an ideal programmable oscillator for mobile communication, broadband access, commercial and consumer applications. It provides superior frequency accuracy with low noise and jitter, wide frequency range and adjustable power down controls. Its adjustable filter/amplifier section provides an adjustable loop filter and amplifier with low output noise. The device also provides two output drivers with adjustable currents. The SGR-8002JA-PHC programmable oscillator is a reliable and cost-effective solution for a wide range of applications.
