SHR-15V-S application field and working principle

The SHR-15V-S is a 15-pin, all plastic type connector housing that is designed for use in various applications requiring reliable electrical connections. The housing comprises of a metal alloy pin block that is attached to an insulated plastic body at each pin location. The metal alloy pin block is formed into a shape that allows the pins to interlock and hold their position, even when subject to vibration or shock. The insulated plastic body has a groove along one edge for cable mounting and a moulded in lip along the opposite edge to provide a secure hold for mating components.

The SHR-15V-S connector is rated for use up to a maximum of 2A at a voltage of 250VAC. This type of connector is also well suited for low-voltage applications such as signal and control wiring.
