Application Field

Working Principle

The SI5110-H-GL transceiver works by transmitting digital data over an external twisted pair cable. The differential output is converted to a single-ended digital signal by the integrated receiver, which then feeds it to the receiver’s output buffer. The receiver can also be configured to detect certain Pulse Width Modulated (PWM) signals, and provide a square wave output.

The differential line drivers in the transceiver provide good linearity over extended distances, and are also designed to reduce EMI, Crosstalk and Bandwidth noise. The transmitter can be configured to drive data at up to 2.5Gbps. The transmitted data is then received from the cable and fed to the integrated receiver, which decodes the differential signal and generates a single-ended data signal.

The SI5110-H-GL also supports advanced error detection and correction features such as eight-bit parity and Hamming code, as well as an additional parity bit. These features ensure reliable data transmission and can also detect and correct transmission errors.
