The working principle of the SIT1602ACA2-25S is based on programmable phase-locked loop (PLL) technology. It uses an ECL oscillator and phase detector circuit to generate a phase-locked loop. The ECL oscillator is used to generate an output signal with a selectable frequency and voltage level while the phase detector circuit is used to track and synchronize the output signal to the input signal. The output signal is then sent to a counter which is used to set the correct frequency and voltage level.

The output frequency of the SIT1602ACA2-25S can be adjusted over a wide range of frequencies, from 10MHz to 150MHz with a +/- 0.5% accuracy.
