Programmable oscillators offer designers the convenience of applying precisely tuned timing signals to a wide range of applications. The range of programming options available allows for the selection of multiple frequencies as well as modulation methods for control and/or synchronization. The SIT1602AIE3-XXE is a general-purpose programmable oscillator that offers a number of features for AC and DC applications, such as wide operating temperature range, multiple voltage options and various adjustable timing parameters. Applications of the SIT1602AIE3-XXE programmable oscillator vary depending on the voltage options selected and timing requirements set by the user. The oscillator is typically used in networking, telecommunications, HVAC, control and/or instrumentation systems. In communications applications, the SIT1602AIE3-XXE oscillator is used to provide precise timing, synchronization and control signals for routers, bridges, transceivers and multiplexers. In HVAC and control systems, the oscillator is used for control applications such as temperature and humidity control, motor and/or pump control, and ventilation control.The SIT1602AIE3-XXE programmable oscillator is designed to work in a wide range of operating temperatures, ranging from -40 C to 85 C. It offers a variety of voltage options and multiple timing parameters, such as frequency, duty cycle, pulse width modulation, adjustable output voltage and adjustable on/off time. The oscillator has a frequency range of 800 MHz to 6.75 GHz or 825 MHz to 7.25 GHz depending on the voltage option. The operation of the SIT1602AIE3-XXE programmable oscillator is based on several factors including the supply voltage, input impedance, temperature and mechanical load. The frequency of the oscillator is determined by the voltage and the impedance of the source. Internal components, such as resistor and capacitors, interact to produce a frequency, which is then adjusted to the user selected frequency. The oscillator also produces a square wave output, which is determined by the duty cycle of the oscillator. The duty cycle, also known as the Output High Time, determines the amount of time the output is high compared to the amount of time it is low. The SIT1602AIE3-XXE programmable oscillator is a highly reliable, efficient and precise timing solution for a number of applications.
