Working Principle
SIT1602BC-72-25S-37.500000D Oscillators employ a reverse-biased input resistor configuration comprising of two series-connected resistors which is referred to as a Pierce Oscillator configuration. This configuration along with a pair of capacitors, C1 and C2, your desired frequency is generated. At the heart of this configuration lies the transistor, which serves to provide signal buffering and inversion, by amplifying the negative half-cycle of the oscillator input signal.In this configuration, both the resistor and capacitor components determine the oscillation frequency of the circuit. To correctly set the oscillation frequency, the ratio of resistor value to capacitor value should be tuned accordingly. This pierce oscillator then requires a stable DC bias through the addition of a separate voltage source. The oscillator frequency is now determined by the ratio of the quartz crystal resonator’s capacitance to the capacitance of the two additional on-chip capacitors, C1 and C2.
