The SIT1602BI-12-18S-74.175824E is a surface-mounted Quartz Oscillator module, designed for high frequency and stability applications. It is suitable for use in medium to high speed frequency applications like serial connection, television, radio data communications, and personal computers. This oscillator module utilizes a piezoelectric quartz crystal that vibrates at a very stable frequency, enabling it to generate extremely accurate and consistent electric signals.

The oscillator module works on the basic principle of electrical to mechanical resonance. The piezoelectric crystal inside the module has an electric charge that is responsive to mechanical stress. When an alternating current is applied to the crystal, it is deformed slightly, creating its own mechanical strains and vibrations that are conveying the oscillator\'s signal.
