The SIT1602BI-12-25S-28.636300D is a surface mount ceramic temperature compensated oscillator (TCXO) designed for use in a variety of telecom, military and construction applications. The SIT1602BI-12-25S-28.636300D oscillator features excellent frequency stability over the widest range of operating temperatures. It is an ideal solution for precision timing in applications such as cellular communications, remote sensing, navigation and data transmission.

Application Field and Working Principle of SIT1602BI-12-25S-28.636300D Oscillator

The SIT1602BI-12-25S-28.636300D oscillator is designed for applications such as cellular communications, remote sensing, navigation and data transmission where precise timing and frequency accuracy are critical. The oscillator utilizes a low phase noise voltage-controlled crystal oscillator (VXCO) to achieve excellent frequency stability and temperature compensation. The oscillator has a frequency stability range of ± 10 ppm (-40°C to +85°C) and a frequency range from 8.6 to 28.6 MHz.

The oscillator has an integrated temperature compensated active circuit that compensates for the effect of temperature on the frequency of the oscillator. The active circuit uses a heater and thermistor in a closed loop to maintain a specified frequency accuracy over a range of temperatures. In this closed loop, the thermistor sensing element senses the temperature of the oscillator and provides an input voltage signal to the heater circuit. The heater circuit then reduces or increases the temperature of the oscillator to maintain the desired frequency accuracy.

In addition to temperature compensation, the oscillator also utilizes a frequency adjustment pin (FADJ) that provides a fine tuning of the oscillator frequency. The FADJ is used to adjust the frequency of the oscillator over a range of ± 15ppm. The FADJ can be used for calibration, frequency tuning, precision frequency adjustment, and frequency/phase modulation.
