The SIT1602BI-12-XXN-37.500000E oscillator is a low noise, low jitter Sitronix Technology Corp (STC) ceramic crystal oscillator. Its operating frequency ranges from 8.000000MHz to 40.000000MHz with a temperature range of -20 to +75 °C. It is designed for high frequency precision clock and signal generation applications such as in digital television tuners and satellite radio receivers.

Working Principle

The basic operating principle of the SIT1602BI-12-XXN-37.500000E oscillator is to produce an output signal whose frequency is determined by the frequency of a quartz crystal resonator. The quartz crystal is typically cut so that its resonant frequency is around the frequency desired. This is accomplished by applying an electric voltage to the quartz crystal resonator which causes it to vibrate a predetermined number of times at its resonant frequency. This signal is then amplified by the oscillator circuit and is output at the required frequency.
