The SIT1602BI-21-18E-25.000000E Oscillator is a low-power device commanding a wide frequency range from 7.50 to 166.896 MHz. It uses a ceramic resonator to obtain the required frequency. An integrated phase-locked loop (PLL) multiplies the low reference frequency from ceramic resonator to generate the output frequency. The oscillator has built-in oscillator and PLL circuitry with an on-chip oscillator frequency dividers, reference frequency divider, loop filter and bias network. The resonance frequency of the ceramic resonator is determined by varying the loop phase margin and loop gain of the PLL loop. The ceramic resonator is partitioned by two electrodes and serves as the oscillator main element.
