Working Principle

When the tuning element is adjusted to the specific frequency, the oscillator enters a stable state and begins to oscillate. The frequency tuning element then adjusts the oscillator\'s frequency to the desired value.

The SIT oscillator also contains a number of unique features which add greater flexibility and accuracy to the tuning process. The frequency control circuitry can adjust the operating frequency very precisely, by adjusting the effective capacitance or inductance of the tuning element. The SIT oscillator\'s NVM stores the frequency settings, allowing it to be recalled and re-tuned quickly and without the need for mechanical adjustments.
