Programmable Oscillators are oscillators which can be programmed to output frequencies with great precision. The SIT1602BIT7-30S is a programmable oscillator designed for compact electronic devices in modern industry. It is suitable for applications which require high-precision timing accuracy, such as automotive electronics, cellular communication, medical instrumentation and other devices.

The SIT1602BIT7-30S is a temperature-compensated crystal oscillator (TCXO) which has a digital compensation controller and two quartz crystal resonators integrated on-chip. The most important feature of this device is its high frequency stability, which allows it to maintain a highly accurate output frequency over a wide range of temperatures and supply voltages.

The working principle of this device is relatively simple. The digital controller constantly monitors the output frequency and compares it to the specified programmed frequency. It then adjusts the resonator frequency by changing the combination of active and inactive states of the four switching elements connected to the resonators.
