Programmable oscillators utilize technology that enables the frequency of their oscillations to be altered by altering the capacitance or inductance within their circuitry. The SIT1602BIU2-33S is a Programmable Oscillator from SIT Technologies that can be used for applications requiring frequency stability and synchronization.

The device utilizes SIT Technologies patented Dynamic Standby Control technology, which allows operation of the oscillator without the need for start-up or power-up circuits. This technology also allows the oscillator to retain its programmed frequency settings down to 0.02%.

The device has a 2kV HBM ESD protection level and low-voltage operation down to 1.8V, making it suitable for use in low-voltage applications. It is also capable of operating over a wide temperature range, from -40°C to +105°C.

The SIT1602BIU2-33S is a low-cost, single-output programmable oscillator, and is suitable for use in a wide range of applications, including time and frequency synchronization, microcontroller interfacing, remote sensing, and any other application requiring frequency stability and synchronization.

The device utilizes an extremely low-noise, silicon-based voltage-control oscillator (VCXO). This VCXO is tuned via a programmable electronic potentiometer whose capacitance is set by an internal digital-to-analog converter. The device also has an integrated temperature compensator to ensure that the frequency stays within ±0.02% of the programmed frequency over extreme temperature ranges.
