Programmable OscillatorsOscillators generate a symmetrical, periodic waveform, and the frequency of oscillation is determined by a resonance-generating device ranging from passive to active components. One such programmable oscillator is the SIT8008ACA3-30E, a 2.5V to 3.3V CMOS programmable clock oscillator. Its frequency accuracy and stability supports critical application accuracy in 5ppm over 0°C to 70°C temperature range and a 7ppm over the -40°C to 85°C temperature range. The SIT8008ACA3-30E can accept either serial input (I2C) or parallel input directly from CPUs and microcontrollers, eliminating the need for external logic components. It features programmable oscillator startup time and a shutdown pin for further system optimization.
