Programmable oscillators are electrical circuits that generate a periodic signal output and can adjust the frequency, shape, duty cycle and phase of their output signals. They are used in a wide range of applications from clocks, to radar systems, to audio equipment. SIT8008ACE2-28S is one such oscillator. It is a low-jitter precision clock generator capable of generating powerful and stable frequencies ranging from 1 MHz to 500 MHz.The SIT8008ACE2-28S is specifically designed for use in high performance computing and multi-processor system applications. It provides a quad-channel LVDS output that can be configured to drive four independent clock outputs or a four-phase-locked-loops (PLLs) with a single reference clock. The device is capable of producing high-precision frequencies along with programmable duty cycles and phase shift settings. This makes it perfectly suited for a wide variety of components like memories, FPGAs, DSPs, and complex ASICs. Additionally, its low power consumption, low jitter and high precision make it ideal for reducing system power and improving system performance.The SIT8008ACE2-28S operates by a combination of DSP algorithms and control logic. It includes an on-chip differential clock and oscillator, which generates a stable signal. This signal is then processed by a digital filter and controlled by the on-chip logic. This logic determines the frequency and shape of the output and can be configured to output a signal of any shape, such as a square wave, sine wave or triangle wave. The frequency and phase of the output can then be fine-tuned by adjusting the settings of the control logic.In addition to its programmability, the SIT8008ACE2-28S also provides high performance and reliability.
