The SIT8008AIA3-33E is a programmable oscillator from Simtek that provides a wide range of output frequency settings to suit virtually any application.

The SIT8008AIA3-33E operates in three distinct modes – Standard, Accelerated and Hi-Speed. In standard mode the SIT8008AIA3-33E provides frequency outputs between 1MHz and 31.25MHz. In Accelerated mode, the device can achieve frequencies up to 250MHz and in Hi-Speed mode it can achieve a peak frequency of 500MHz. The device can also be set to Frequency Hopping mode where it will continuously change frequencies.

The SIT8008AIA3-33E is ideal for use in a variety of communication and signal processing applications. It can be used as a frequency reference for various RF applications such as AM/FM/PM Modulation and Demodulation, Wireless Local Area Networks (WLAN) and backplane communications. The device is also suitable for use in a wide range of other applications such as Broadcast Video, Television and Radio, Clock and Timing Circuits, Switching Power Supplies, Fiber Optic Transceivers, Embedded Systems and Home Automation.

The SIT8008AIA3-33E has a low current draw and low power consumption. This makes it ideal for battery-operated applications as well as stationary applications. The device also features an integrated phase-locked loop (PLL) which can lock onto an external reference signal, allowing it to provide the best possible accuracy.
