Working with a Programmable Oscillator Test Software (POTS), SIT8008AIE3-25S utilizes a mechanism called frequency modulation to adjust its frequency. With frequency modulation, the magnetic field generated by the oscillator core is controlled by changing the frequency of the programmable voltage. This voltage is programmed by adjusting the values of two voltage-variable capacitors installed in the circuit.

The SIT8008AIE3-25S also features an adjustable rise and fall time, which enables users to adjust the clock signal rise and fall time (from slow to ultra-fast) to maximize speed and minimize noise. With the POTS Software, users can also make a wavelength tuning, changing and measuring the frequency with a wide range of 20kHz to 400MHz.
