Programmable Oscillators

In particular, it is well suited for use within applications requiring low jitter, low additive phase jitter, wide operating temperature range and fast frequency settling time.In terms of its working principle, the SIT8008BCB7-18N utilizes a combination of ICs and MOS transistors that provide precise frequency control and 3.3V supply voltage. It has a voltage controlled oscillator (VCO) with a 32bit frequency programmable counter and a 32bit frequency divider. The VCO provides a stability of ±1 ppm and a frequency range of 0.01 to 240MHz, with an accuracy of ±10 ppm. The frequency divider is an 8bit divider that divides the VCO frequency output by any chosen number from 1 to 256 to generate an output frequency amplitude. As a result of these components, the SIT8008BCB7-18N is able to provide a precise, adjustable frequency output for the application in which it is used. It is also capable of fast frequency tuning with a frequency settling time of less than 10µs, allowing for rapid operation with minimal delay.
