Programmable Oscillators are devices that enable the timing of digital systems to be highly customized to enable a large number of applications. The SIT8008BCL1-18N Programmable Oscillator is a high performance device that is designed for wide range of applications in the fields of communications, automotive, industrial, medical and computing.

The SIT8008BCL1-18N utilizes advanced MEMS technology for highly accurate, reliable and temperature stable oscillations. It is available in a small 6-pin Tuned Voltage Controlled Crystal (TVCX) package and offers a wide range of output frequencies from 1MHz to 18MHz. It is capable of very low duty cycle tuning, making it suitable for applications such as frequency-hopping and spread-spectrum systems.

The SIT8008BCL1-18N supports both Crystal Oscillator and Frequency Synthesizer modes, allowing it to be used in a wide range of applications. In Crystal Oscillator mode, the oscillator utilizes a high-quality quartz crystal to generate accurate signals with low jitter. This mode is ideal for applications requiring tight frequency control with very low jitter. In Frequency Synthesizer mode, the oscillator is programmed with a selectable internal or external reference frequency and a programmable post-divider circuit. This mode is ideal for applications requiring high-frequency oscillator tuning and frequency hopping operation.

The SIT8008BCL1-18N is equipped with low jitter frequency synthesizer circuitry, which enables clock outputs of extremely high accuracy to be programmed and locked at an exact frequency. It also has a wide range of programmability options including programmable start, stop and reset/dwell functions.

The SIT8008BCL1-18N features an integrated temperature sensor, allowing it to accurately compensate frequency drift due to temperature variations and provides operation over the extended temperature range of -40°C to +125°C. In addition, the programmable oscillator has an integrated phase-locked loop (PLL) filter, which further helps to reduce frequency jitter.

The SIT8008BCL1-18N is ideally suited for a wide range of applications due to its advanced features and flexibility.
