In addition, it is small enough that it can be used for portable applications and in mobile devices, so it can be used in any application where space is at a premium.Working PrincipleThe SIT8008BIR7-25E is a voltage-controlled oscillator (VCO) that uses a symmetric parallel-connected LC resonator circuit to achieve a frequency hopping or FM (Frequency Modulation) signal generation. It has an output range of 2.45-2.5 GHz and requires a supply voltage of between 2.5 V and 3.5 V.The oscillator uses an LC resonator circuit to generate oscillation with a desired frequency. In this case, a 12_pF capacitor and 5_pF inductor are used to resonance within the desired range. This resonator is then connected to two transistors, and biasing to the transistors is achieved through two bias pins.When the oscillator is operating, the voltage across the LC resonator is monitored by a comparator, which is connected to the output of the oscillator. When the voltage exceeds the predetermined threshold, the comparator switches the output from low to high. This is how the oscillator is able to generate a frequency hopping or FM signal.When the supply voltage applied to the VCO is changed, the output frequency will also change.
