Programmable Oscillators are a unique technology which can provide improved performance while providing versatile frequency and pulse outputs. One of these oscillators is the SIT8008BIT8-33N, which is a combination oscillator and logic module. This device can produce both single- and multiple-pulse, non-zero-phase signals from a single mode of operation.

The SIT8008BIT8-33N is a 3-phase programmable oscillator, providing a frequency range of 0.5 to 5 MHz with a resolution of 0.01 Mhz and a pulse-width reaches from 1 to 10ms. It has an adjustable output drive, making it ideal for general purpose applications and for system monitoring. The device has three different operating modes: Envelope mode, Pulse Mode, and Quasi-Continuous mode.

In the Envelope Mode, the SIT8008BIT8-33N produces an adjustable frequency envelope output, with a maximum frequency of 5 Mhz and a minimum frequency of 0.5Mhz. The frequency of this envelope is controlled by two external voltages, one of which is used to set the frequency, while the other is used to adjust the envelope rate. This mode is ideal for applications requiring high frequency accuracy.

In Pulse Mode, the SIT8008BIT8-33N produces a pulse width modulated output with a maximum period of 10ms and a minimum period of 1ms. The duty cycle of this pulse width modulated output is adjustable by two analog inputs. This mode is ideal for obtaining short or long pulse widths depending on the desired application.

Finally, in Quasi-Continuous mode, the SIT8008BIT8-33N produces a zero-phase waveform whose frequency can be adjusted from 0.5 to 5 MHz via an external voltage. This mode is useful for applications requiring several different waveforms.
