Programmable Oscillators use frequency synthesizers to generate a predetermined frequency, phase, and amplitude using the latest digital and analog technologies. The SIT8009BIF11-25S is a programmable oscillator that is ideal for use in communications systems, industrial automation, military and aerospace applications. Through the use of programmability, the SIT8009BIF11-25S provides a wide range of operational capabilities.
The SIT8009BIF11-25S consists of an integrated circuit with a standard CMOS process. This semiconductor configuration allows the oscillator to have greater stability and reliability when compared to other oscillators. The SIT8009BIF11-25S is also designed for temperature stability and short-term frequency stability. The SIT8009BIF11-25S is easy to program through the use of a digital bus, which allows the output frequency to be adjusted.
The SIT8009BIF11-25S can operate in four different modes, including a frequency synthesis mode, a wide range frequency synthesis mode, a Frequency Latch mode, and a Frequency Hopping mode. In the frequency synthesis mode, the oscillator can produce precise frequency measurements from a selected range. In the wide range frequency synthesis mode, the SIT8009BIF11-25S can produce output frequencies over a much wider range. In the Frequency Latch mode, the device selects the output frequency based on a signal pattern. Lastly, in Frequency Hopping mode, the SIT8009BIF11-25S oscillator hops between various frequencies depending on the signal pattern.
The SIT8009BIF11-25S is designed with a low-power and low-noise design. This allows the oscillator to perform in a wide range of temperatures without a significant loss of performance.
