Working Principle of SIT8208AC-3-18S

The SIT8208AC-3-18S programmable oscillator comprises of an on-chip programmable frequency synthesizer and phase-lock loop (PLL) circuits, integrated into a single chip. The PLL utilizes an on-chip voltage-controlled oscillator (VCO) and a high-accuracy frequency divider to generate a programmable output frequency with an output frequency range of 60 MHz to 1 GHz. The PLL also has a built-in PFD loop bandwidth control, which can be fine tuned using external components. This helps boost PLL performance at input frequencies. The integrated combination ensures a low phase noise output, which is further improved with optional on-chip noise-reduction techniques. An internal or external reference oscillators can be used to achieve the highest accuracy for the best PLL frequency locking range.The SIT8208AC-3-18S also features an on-chip programmable charge pump for precise output power control up to + 3 dBm.
